Interesting stuff Peter. As I think a number of my posts have made clear in the past few months Jackson became demonised far too early. I think he made a rod for his own back in many ways, but as somebody who didn't fully buy the hype I tried to look through it.
I don't think it would have been much of a season had Jackson stayed - but I don't think we would have gone down either. Those who claimed Sutton has "saved us" I think are being misguided.
That said, I think there has been improvement in some ways under Sutton but how much of it is tangible improvement for Lincoln City? A few young Premiership players have got a bit more experience, but being completely selfish - what's in it for us?
I like Sutton but he still has plenty to prove as a manager.
