One argument that I have seen banded about is that Sutton has a better eye for talent than Jackson did and the acquisitions of some of the loan players would back this argument up.
You do have to wonder how many of these acquisitions have been his own and how many have come from O'Neill, Hodgson, Walter Smith etc recommending a player to him.
From what I’ve read and been told (I’m yet to witness him actually play) it would appear that Joe Anderson hasn’t really set the world on fire.
Sadly, it’s going to be another summer of rebuilding. Let’s just hope expectations levels of some aren’t ridiculous and Sutton is able to mould a side together rather than any snap decisions being made early on in the season if we happen to struggle.
