Fortunately we have only two Tues night home games scheduled in the colder months, I say fortunately because last years Four Tue home games between Nov and Mar attracted a total of 6683 (ave 1671). Three home Tuesdays in warmer months attracted more than that (6868 ave 2289). Last night students had a free ticket offer, usually it costs £7 which is a good deal, but will be insufficient incentive to some, who probably have no affinity to City anyway, to get them out on a cold night with a warm students union bar to go to and Champions League on the box. And that's also a factor for the once committed, now floating, supporters like me.
The only remedy is success on the pitch.

I thought last night without the free pass students we would have been lucky to have managed 1700.

Are you saying that there were over 600 free entries last night?

There were a lot of students there, the family stand end upper tier was 2/3 full ish, we couldn't sit where we normally do, certainly 500isn and maybe more.
