Isn't it time we stopped using this phrase to describe those on the board who are representatives of the Trust?
They are not "fan" representatives as there is no "fan representation" per se on the board of the Football Club. Both are members of the a business organisation called the Supporters Trust, which as we know does not represent even a majority of the fans of Lincoln City Football Club. Both members also have no remit whatsoever to serve those people who have not joined or are lapsed members of the Trust.
Is it these sort of things that the Trust will not tell you. What have they got to hide?

What a strange post.

The Supporters Trust is a fans organisation, it is represented on the board of the club, why not call those representatives supporter directors?

Not every fan is a member of the Trust (all fans have the right to join however) but I am not aware that either supporter director has ever refused to discuss club matters with any fan who has approached them, trust member or not.

The Trust is a business organisation now is it? That's very strange, I'm not sure I recognise that description and you don't provide any basis for the claim.

Are you quite alright Honest? You seem to have anger management issues. I hope that you are finding ranting on this board useful therapy and that you get well soon.

I get where Honestimp is coming from here and by the strict definition of words he/she is right. Jean Foster and David Beck are Trust Representatives on the board, in the same way that Stuart Tindall is the Lindum rep on the board. Tindall doesn't represent Simons Construction, for example, and I can see that JF and DB don't (can't?) represent those who don't pay their subs to the Trust.

I think people need to stop defending the Trust when questions are asked though, usually the Trust can defend themselves fairly adequately.

I'm a supporter of the Trust and it's objectives, and am very grateful for the unpaid efforts of the trust board and other volunteers.

The Trust may not be prefect but it's an important part of the club and one that I wouldn't want to be without.

I'm sorry that defending them from baseless attacks offends you Mr Rimmer.

You miss my point re the nature of the Directors. Yes the Trust representatives represent the Trust, but the Trust is a Supporters Organisation open to anyone who wants to join. It may not be perfect but it is fan representation, and I can't think of a better way of organising it. Instead of constantly carping Honest could, if he wanted, stand for election to the Trust Board and then seek to represent the Trust on the Club Board. Perhaps he could then try to change the things he seems so upset about.
