Can I just point out one tiny little fact. Everyone moans that there are too many players in the Premiership and that's why England aren't successful.
In the early days of the Premiership there were virtually no foreigners and England didn't qualify for World Cup 1994. In the 70s there was maybe 1 or 2 foreigners, England failed to qualify for 2 of the 3 World Cups in the 70s.
If the English players were good enough then they'd be playing, there is no guarantee that if there were no foreign players then the players coming up from the youth set ups would be any good.
Look at our own youth system for example, we've had one decent player recently (Freck) and one half-decent (Hone), but other than that you've got the likes of Ryan and Warlow who will never make the grade.
England are carp whether or not there are foreigners in the Premiership, the fact that there are foreigners means that the FA have an excuse.
