Seems to have gone quiet of late on here or is it just me?
Obviously dont mean me going quiet.
Seriously there seems to be  quite a depressing, if thats the word, or downbeat air about the team at the minute ,we've all had our say on the matter so perhaps we are just awaiting the next installment.
Could be one of those days on Saturday I mentioned on another thread re finding myself going to the match on automatic pilot on Saturday as opposed to getting a feeling of excitement again, like I did after the Cods win, it was certainly mis placed optimism/

Well I keep trying to be a bit controversial, negative, and say I don't care, but apart from yourself and Posh no-one wants to tell me, even politely, that I'm talking ballcocks.
Seriously, while some other forums can get personal, which no-one needs, a bit more dynamic discussion wouldn't hurt at times. Surely everyone has a view of what's gone wrong both this season and since at least when Peter Jackson left. So come on, air your grievances and prejudices, all views respected if not necessarily agreed with.

Well, for myself (ever the optimist as you well know), I must say I'm just a tad weed off with it all. As Brian said, following the Grimsby game, I really thought we would turn a corner and kick on, better results a virtual guarantee, higher crowds leading to much better atmosphere etc. etc. But, what do we get? Three successive defeats against teams we should have been beating if we really do have any intention of winning promotion!

Something, somewhere or someone or a combination of all those things has gone very, very wrong and I am beginning to think that until and unless we have a total change from manager upwards, then we'll rot in this hell-hole of a league for ever more, until we get relegated again. For the first time this season, I am not bothered about going to a game that I could go to and that is Macclesfield at home Saturday. I already know I won't be able to get next Tuesday Vs Gateshead because of a school event, but I ain't too bothered about that either. Nuneaton away on October 4th or Telford home on October 11th would appear to be the next games I might attend. The very same thing happened last season, when I witnessed the home defeat to Aldershot on October 12th and didn't go again until the Boxing Day defeat to Grimsby.

If the crowd is more than 2,100 on Saturday, I will be most surprised.

In respect of the 'quietness' on here, this is probably evidenced by the post count slowing down. We passed the 6,000 mark for the year on 17th August and still need about 20 posts to reach 7,000 some 36 days later. That means we are currently averaging 28 posts a day, still 5 more than the average before this year started, but not as high as the 40+ we were doing before the summer arrived.

I do try to get old posters to come back with the occasional mass email reminder, and some do pay us a visit but without posting. Jules has come back, but just with the away fans' interviews which haven't inspired much comment, to be fair.

We don't actually raise money for the club, which is clearly the main reason people left us in droves a few years back, but we are still here and I intend that to be the case for many years to come.

I peek at Vitals andsee whats going on but sonmetimes when it gets personal I'm pleased we don't have that on here, Iwouldn't tolerate it anyway.
The was plenty on here at one ime but that went with the posters who sought pastures new.

I get enough hassle on me bike, was riding in a group through Alford on Sunday which held up traffic through the main st for 300 yards or so and then when the cars could get past one pulled along side myself and the other chap at the front, with the window down  and this rather scary fatbird with hairy armpits opened up and gave us a right foul mouth outburst re riding single file.
Wouldn't fancy a confrontation  face to face with her either.
All good fun though :)

My posting is down due to my impending house, moving out the bachelor pad over the next few days and into my girlfriends before moving into the place sometime around the middle of next month. I'll be there Saturday with my other half and step daughter, we really need a win but cant see it, something has gone very wrong since we went top briefly at the shay.

Yep, top for about 19 minutes, David. Good luck with the move.

I went away camping to Kent on Friday night for 2 nights and enjoyed myself, it was a VW car event near to Paddock Wood. The only disappointment was seeing the Imps result and yet another defeat.

We started well but appeared to have hit a bad run. I can see very much a repeat of last season after a good start and a good finish sandwiched between a poor set of results.

Like most people on here I enjoy every victory and hate every defeat, we all know defensively we are not good and Audel was almost certain to be returning to us but broke down for Crewe.

This forum is better than the others I am a member of and although I disagree with some opinions, it is refreshing to have varied opinions without the personal insults you get elsewhere.

I wouldn't want to be in her local, do you recognise the term "munter" ?

Noticed a new ish VW van/people carrier in a car park where I was last week and immediately had a look at what seemed a perfect vehicle for tyravelling cyclists, lovely vehicle, price top end of 25k apparently, no chance for me at that!

Audel seems to be settled in the Crewe squad now, so I think we've lost him unless he loses his form sometime soon.

My sons first car 25 years ago was a 1600cc beetle that I restored mechanically and my son in law re painted, very nice but sadly the car was traded in when he became financially independent.

My older brother, who back in the early-mid seventies was still in the Army and based in Germany, had a black 1950s Beetle which was his first love! A beautiful motor which I loved to travel in with him.
