I've been visiting the Nene Valley Railway this afternoon. Not been on a train ride, but to see my brother who is there with the Patriot Project stand.

A 'new build' of the Patriot Class steam train engines. It is to be known as 'The Unknown Warrior' and is on course to make its maiden passenger voyage on Armistice Day 2018, 100 years after World War 1 ended. It's a truly amazing project, and will be only the second 'new build' steam engine since Tornado in 2008.

Here is a link to their website:  http://www.lms-patriot.org.uk/

I am now a member of the group along with my older brother who has been involved pretty much from the start.

I like steam engines, no interest at all in diesels.
While on our holidays if there is a steam railway operating we try to take a visit to look at it.
There is one at Martell in the Dordogne which we have been on.
