I'd agree with that. The tory bloke down this end (not my MP, sadly) got stuffed too, also by a woman and also a Labour gain.

Karen is absolutely delighted that she has been given the chance to serve her home city, she works at Lincoln County Hospital on the 'coalface' as a nurse so is fully aware of the problems she has to help sort, we're not at all from the privileged class, was brought up on Boultham council estate so she is also familiar with the problems of the working class. Believe me she will work incredibly hard to champion Lincolns cause.

Delighted we have someone local rather than that slimy scouser. Wish her all the best. I have a feeling she will be fighting the seat again sooner rather than later.

The slimy scouser who managed to claim £811,000 in expenses in just 7 years plus his wage of £75,000 a year not a bad return for him.
Didn't applaud any of his fellow candidates or congratulate Karen and the stormed in to the night out of the drill hall without speaking to the media, absolute child!
So glad he's gone!
Surprised I've never bumped into your sister I've worked at the county since 1994!

I'm pretty sure she worked on Johnson ward for a number of years, a couple of years ago she got a job as a ward nurse which was less demanding. She took 6 months off to care for her daughter in 2011 who sadly passed away, she then became Mayor in 2012.
