are out in force on rivals, apparently still planning a protest against the board before tomorrows game. Thing is I am not sure any of them really know why they are protesting!

It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark, and we're wearing sunglasses.

Hit it.

Not sure what it will achieve, personally, I don't think they have done a bad job - I'm not totally blind and agree with all the decisions they've made, but by in large think the're doing a good job in difficult circumstances.

Will be interesting onced the new man is announced, but though results aren't going our way, I think off the pitch things aren't as bad as they are at a lot of other clubs. Without a big investor (sugar daddy) believe we're always going to struggle to punch above our weight, though look at Franchise Utd and today's Dosh FC - doesn't necessarily mean success!

I was roundly villified last sunday on another board for saying the same and suggesting the idea of a demo was nothing but counter productive, the initial reason was to out schoey now they have there wish I think, as someone earier in thread mentiones, that they really dont know why they want him out.........

bless 'em, good job the demo is set for a dinner kick off as most would need to home for bed and would probably be grounded for staying out late in the evening

If takes place, when all managers there then these morons dont deserve a club. Granted they have their right to opinion and express it, however surely they realise that today of all days is not when to do it.
Just think what managers think 'Jesus, I thought the board were doing a good job, these fans are demanding a fickle, I think I will give it a miss it doesnt seem like I will even be allowed to make a single mistake!!'

Agreed any basis for a demo went with the boards decisive decision this week.

The 1-1 Morecambe disapointment was the time.

Why demonstrate when the time has passed unless there are more sinister individuals pulling the strings!

Exactly- if history serves me right, then generally there is an upturn in fortune when a new guy comes in, players playing to impress - then the fralities that got them in that position come to the surface (defence fralities) before they can address it with their own players and any new manager will be thinking 'sod this' for a game of solidiers if they want rid of the board, how long will they give me!

These people always amaze me.
They have been very silent for the last few years.Suddenly we have a bad run and they all come scurrying out of the woodwork.

Steph Wright is the same person now,as he was when he took over as Chairman, with the same board of Directors.

So why weren`t these people demonstrating 2/3 years ago?

I don't think now is the right time for a protest, although my views about Mr Wright are well known. The time to protest is not now. He's done what we wanted, now let's just let them get on with selecting us a good manager.

I agree too. It diverts the issue. We want the board to give the "right" choice, not just for now but also for a years time.

Agreed. If the protestors got what they wanted then we would be managerless and boardless and I can't really see that being a particularly healthy position to be in. Every managerial candidate would be reaching for their barge poles.

If nothing else SW by removing the two J's has at least levered himself a position with most reasonable supporters to get this decision right. If he flunks this decision then might be the time to demonstrate if anybody is of a mind to.

Demonstaring now is completely pointless and brainless and I'm inclined to agree with impspur's assessment of those likely to be involved!!

It's good to see that people on both sides of the debate believe that the protest is a bloody stupid idea.

i have wanted Wright out since the appointment of Schoey and have continue to say that

as for a demo today
it isn't the right time BUT Wright needs to deliver a decent manager else the natives will become very restless again regarding the word AMBITION

Not sure how true this is, but someone told me mr roe and mr freelander were outside the echo stand at the suggested time before the game, but no one else turned up for the demo, so after a while they left.

Totally agree with you on that Harry - who would you go for out of the current rumoured applicants? Who would you consider to be a decent manager? I think any of the four names Jackson/Newell/Allen/Little would show ambition.
