A couple more first team games, and he could be a regular on the score sheet looked pretty sharp, and Dodds looked good until he had to go off.

Nice to see a big man with pace, and he closed people down. His touch was a bit off it sometimes, but for a debut couldn't ask for much more.

Standing ovation for both him and Dodds when they went off too. Should do their confidence some good that.

thought that dodds obviously had a nock and had to come off, as for wright looked very good prospect. Might have been lacking a bit of match fitness. As for torpey coming on at the end. Thought that was a mistake should have put the sheriff on and changed to a 5-4-1 with dany upfront

Torpey did ok but I would have gone with N'Guessen

It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark, and we're wearing sunglasses.

Hit it.

I also predicted that he would start yesterday! Didn't he make a refreshing change. I also said that Dodds should play in his natural position. What a pairing they could become.

We've got (another) new manager. Will he be a very good manager? I do hope so.

On that performance, if he keeps his place, Wright will unsettle a few defenders this season.

It's good to see a big striker who is reasonably mobile too. I liked the way he got his body between the defender and the ball and wasn't easily moved out of the way.

I think GB had adddressed the main problem at the back and hence Dodds and Wright were working with bits and pieces but the link up with Fecklington was good and considering a lot of balls forward were "percentage" balls they made a lot out of them.
