Even though I don't like him (from his Hudders days against us), we could do a lot worse than him IMO.

If it was him or Little? No brainer for me! Throw Mike Newell in the equation then it makes things different!

little for me, been at all levels, and while he has had bad seasons, which every manager does at some point, his general record seems good.

As someone said before..Jackson might be a tit in our views, but if he gets the job then he becomes our tit..That suits me fine if it winds up the opposition.

If he came and turned it around would that make him a great tit

I agree, nothing wrong with having a tit, infact, have a pair!

From what I've been told (and I have no reason not to believe it) Peter Jackson, Neil McDonald and Dennis Smith all have interviews this week, but it's probably a 2 horse race between Brian Little and Peter Jackson. Steve Evans did apply by the way.

Give this man two years and a damn testimonial!!!!

Was told by an official at the club that the guesses we were coming out with (We were in an exec box) weren't far off the mark, and had indeed been given interviews/were the main candidates...

The names that were raised were:

Little
Newell
Allen
Jackson

Also, the words "Steve" and "Evans" brought an uproarious laugh from the guy, so I think that's a definite no!

If that is the shortlist then the club has done well to attract some quality, it does on the face of it to be a difficult choice, the interviews will decide it. Wouldn't mind being a fly on the wall!

Allen isn't interested, as he's getting the Millwall job (from what I've been told).

I had also heard that quite strong rumour. He has had a taste of the Championship, hardly likely to drop down to L2 again.
