Thought we set our stall out first 15 minutes, and drove at them from the beginning - and a little more composure and we could have been infront by 1 or 2 early on.

Pleased we scored just before half-time, and there isn't a lot you can do when their lad belts one from 25 yards in the top corner. Although 2 minutes before I thought Dodds should have killed the game off. However, a great rsposne and we kept trying to attack and a well deserved goal from Freck. Who was head and shoulders above everyone today.

Surpringsly even though I was as nervous as hell we made the last 15 look comfortable, apart from the corner in the dying seconds. We needed the win got the win, and it has brought a whole lot of relieve from the place, and hope we can move on from here now.

I think the gameplan was to score early on hence the early barrage. The fact that we didn't do that, and plan B still worked, is very encouraging. It makes a nice change to be a goal up with 20 minutes to go and play like we're looking for a third, as opposed to dropping back and hoping to hang on.

we will come good

Wouldn't it just be great if we went on a 'Hartlepool' style unbeaten run of 23 games?

We've got (another) new manager. Will he be a very good manager? I do hope so.

Poor players don't turn good overnight

No but good players do turn poor with no leadership, direction or confidence

Potter I think if you want a bet on us getting relegated you will be knocked over in the rush of people wanting to lay your bet.

Sometimes there is a fourth wise monkey depicted, the last one covers his crotch and symbolizes the principle of Do no Evil

A bank is a place where they lend you an umbrella in fair weather and ask for it back when it begins to rain.

Stallard, Forrester, Frecklington, Hone, Marriott, N'Guessen poor? I don't think so. although I don't expect us to charge up the table, I'm with Wise Monkey.

Get REAL!!! We are still a very poor side that will be lucky to finish 22nd. Poor players don't turn good overnight.

Copying a post from last week...........

Team a year ago vs Rochdale

Marriott (still here)
Eaden (Green is no worse)
Beevers (still here)
Brown (still here)
Mayo (debatable whether Croft is better/worse)
Amoo (still here)
Frecklington (still here)
Kerr (still here)
Hughes (area we haven't replaced)
Forrester (still here)
Stallard (still here)

plus we have Moses, N'Guessan, Wright, Dodds, Hone, Bencherief and Smith and Hand who are legitimate first team players.

I'd say our main problems have been organisation, effort, and confidence. Get them sorted (a couple of wins will do the trick for the later 2) and I honestly don't see us having a problem.

Green has really stood out in the last month, settled position and is getting forward but defending stoutly. Two months ago, a winger like that Weston for County would have ran him ragged.

I Will look a even bigger plum than normal but I still think we'l have a run at the playoffs,,,not saying we'l make them but Saturdays performance has been coming since Wacko took over. Aside from 45 mins V Chesterfield we have been solid and creating more in each game...all we needed was the confidence of the first goal and something to hang on too.

I think were more likely to go on run than go down....but hey what do I Know!

Ben Wright and Green are good examples. They both seem and feel wanted and are really starting to perform. Dont underestimate Neil McDonald's influence in all this either.

Neil McDonald is the ace in all this as far as I can see. Jacko is the main man but you can see the influence McDonald has on the touchline. Jacko is doing all the vocal stuff - meanwhile McDonald is doing the talking to the players. Great pairing, well done to the board.....I think I might be coming round!
