Are looking to charge cars to park on the SOUTH COMMON. Surely this will just mean more people parking on the streets around Sincil Bank, and making the congestion around SB on matchdays even worse.

I doubt it, it just seems like a cynical money raising scheme by the council. Maybe one of the legal eagles can answer this question. Can they legally charge for parking on common land?

It was an official complaint made via the South Park Residents Association - now if they cannot but up with the odd few cars parking in an open space for a few hours 23 days a year then they need to get out more.

They will soon be asking for it to be reopened when football fans are parked outside their houses, and they have nowhere to park.

I bloody hope not, because that's my favoured space. If this charging for parking on the common goes ahead, it could get difficult to park there.

Can't say whenever I've gone past the common on non match days that it's been crowded out with folks enjoying the open spaces (except when the fair or the circus is there of course)

What a pathetic complaint. The parking is the other side of a busy road area, not even especially near the residentiak area.

South Common parking is a huge advantage to LCFC for both home and away fans. I would not pay to park on the common, which would mean more congestion, especially away fans driving round and round looking for a space. Quite ridiculous, and may even put some people off coming all together!

It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark, and we're wearing sunglasses.

Hit it.

Is there a way to oppose this? I've heard on NIMBY-ism, but this isn'y even their bloody back yard, is it?

Personally I would bans cars from the centre (essential users allowed) - but you need a proper park and ride system for that to work. Now that would be too much to ask

If you go to Clumber Park the robbing gits charge you £4.50 to park on the grass areas, even though you legally park on the road that goes through it!

I can't help it,
I was dragged up.
My favourite parks are car parks,
grass is something you smoke and birds are something you shag.
So, take your year in Provence
and stick it up your aarse.

They charge for entry to the Fair, so they probaly will be able to charge for parking.

They now charge as you enter instead of before when you parked up.

How long have they been charging to get into the fair?

It would surely be impossible to charge for entry into the fair, as anyone could just climb over the fence
