The first post also mentions that Stockport are in dire financial trouble. Which would seem unlikely as they have extra revenue from Sale Sharks. Unless of course Sale Sharks are the landlords.

It would seem from here that the ground is owned by Brian Kennedy who owned both Sale Sharks and Stockport. He sold Stockport to the Supporters Trust with a 25 year, rent free, lease on the ground. They share revenue with Sale Sharks.

well living on the fringes of Stockport i know a few stockpot supporters. one did actually say the he had heard the "A" word mentioned a couple of weeks ago .

mind u was drinking with a few on saturday night and nothing was mentioned .

As for the sale sharks , the get nearly twice the attendance the County get

I can't believe that they could keep not paying their players for 6 months quiet.

Surely they could just walk away and sign for another club - something like that would be a clear breach of contract.

I think you can do that after two months? The rumour is a bit confused, but seems to be saying they were paying them some kind of wage, just not what they were due.
