Scored yet again tonight, to defeat the Cods!

Maybe we should have kept him as a striker!

It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark, and we're wearing sunglasses.

Hit it.

Some people laughed when he went back there. KA knows how to get the best out of him, and he scored some memorable goals for us, too.

He likes you...

Exactly right. His form dipped for us but the season (as I've said elsewhere) he played as a midfield spoiler for us I thought his contribution was chronically undervalued. Somebody has to do the dirty work and Brown did it very well that season.

As for having him back as a striker. No I probably wouldn't either but just at the moment his scoring record pi$$es all over that of our much talked about strikers.

Trying to think back to what my favourite Nat goal was.

His effort against Macclesfield (?) at Sincil Bank from about 35 yards which was probably a mis-hit that ballooned into the top-corner I recall quite fondly.

The volley away at Counteh as well was quite impressive.

I had half a feeling at the time that he shanked that a bit.

The winner at Barnet was mine.

I agree with Skanky. The winner at Barnet which turned around a 2-0 deficit to a 3-2 win! Great game!

We've got (another) new manager. Will he be a very good manager? I do hope so.

Most predictable Nat Brown shot was a penalty he took in reserve team cup final shoot out, hit the clock at the south park end, he seemed to be leaning back before he started to run to take kick

Trying to think of any goal he scored with his feet that I am sure he meant, still did get us a lot of goals at vital times.

Keith does seem to be able to get the best out his type of player.

Perhaps we need to see a few Huddersfield cast offs quickly.

Can't fault the goals he scored - maybe KA new it was too criminal to play him as a centre half, his defensive duties oh dear...people have done time for less.

He was certainly a better prospect in midfield, but at the time, he was needed for his height at the back, as I recall.

In many ways at this level I'd rather have a Nat Brown style player in my midfield than a luxury player like Scott Oakes. We would lose less games if we were more solid in there and I'd say Nat was a fair bet to score more goals in a season thatn Oakes, if played in midfield.

I remember Keith saying that he wasn't too disappointed when Butcher and Gain (two fine players) left because they had only scored 2 goals between them the previous season and he needed more goals from his midfield pair. I think that during the following season Brwon and kerr(?) got about 12 goals. They weren't as good to watch as B&G but they were effective for a season.

If Scot Oakes is some sort of blend of Scott Kerr and Stefan Oakes then I like the sound of that! I think thats the answer! A player with Kerrs attitude and spirit and a left peg like Oakes!
