Humble pie has not yet been eaten - indeed it isn't even in the oven yet.

I still say this;

"Wait and see!"

So are you saying Steff Wright is lying?

How do you infer that, then?

I have never called anyone a liar on here (or any message board for that matter) nor would I.

Steff has said what the deal is and you are still saying wait and see.

So where does it say I think Steff is lying? That is a very strong word to use.

Have patience, my lad.

We've got (another) new manager. Will he be a very good manager? I do hope so.

You have not used the words, but you are doubting what he is saying as to what the truth is. I have lost patience.

BTW - Joe and I are going to the game but thinking of paying a visit to the SW today...

I have to say I am confussed now! Who knows more about this deal, Steff Wright or Posh

It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark, and we're wearing sunglasses.

Hit it.

What I am really saying is; let us see what happens when any deal does go through. I may well be wrong, but I just feel that there is still something else here.

That has happened before, so could well happen again. I mean, how long after the event did we find out about that clause in McCombe's contract? And, does anyone really know (outside of the Club, that is) what went on regarding KA's so-called 'gardening leave'? (BTW - do you think he actually did any gardening at that time?)

We were told about the clause in the McCombe contract long before he moved.

That says that there was a release clause although not for how much. Jamie McCombe was still a Lincoln player at the time albeit not for much longer.

Back to topic.

I have been given yet further information which has shed more light on the subject. It would seem that the information I was originally given was in fact very slightly off the mark.

I can now state with some confidence that we would be in receipt of 25% of anything over and above the original £150k.

Better get that humble pie in the oven, then!

Please don't shoot the messenger, though. I was acting in good faith.

I can state the same with the utmost confidence. The chairman has said that, hasn't he?

He likes you...

Pah, I wouldn't worry. A potential £112,500 that went missing is nothing really.

Yes, although not seemingly reliable enough

Fact is, we seldom get the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth.

I thought I had been given it. Seems my source had forgotten something...
