Amongst all the wailing and conspiracies with Adi and his "unfair" treatment, I feel we should take a moment to remember another striker who was leading scorer in his solitary season with the Imps.

Warren Ward: 15+6 FL appearances, 8 goals in 1985/6.

I can't believe there was a similar fuss when Ward was released and history shows this was something George Kerr got right.

Personally, despite the goals, I've yet to be fully convinced that Adi is a standout player.

He has a lot to prove to get me on his side. I would much rather start with the Horse and Wright up front.

Pat is too easily knocked off the ball and in the past went down as if he had been shot. Deserves another half hour, if he doesn't score a hatrick get rid.

Eight goals is eight goals.

Wright has how many? Or Horsfield?

Not that I am suggesting for one minute who Jacko should play before who, but, eight goals are eight goals. Give him the opportunity to prove otherwise (ie that he isn't any good really) or give him the opportunity to prove that those eight goals were not a fluke.

Simple, really...

We've got (another) new manager. Will he be a very good manager? I do hope so.

Not anymore 9 goals now and how many would he have got had he not been sat either in the stands or on the bench.
He is a goal poacher his stats are excellent , he reminds me of Yeo in the respect that he gets in the right place but does not always score.
He gambles and Wright,Elding and horse they don't.
This manager has issues why slag off your forward who has his first start in months saying apart from his goal his contribution was a booking?

I am very pleased that he scored today.

End of a dream was actually last Tuesday. Defeat today just compounds it!

Time to be realistic .... Patulea is not a patch on Elding . Give me Elding at the start of next season anytime . A shame he lost it in the game againt Bury , but id sign him 2morrow

Reading the reports of those who went to the game seem to give the opion he was not very good to say the least .

Ive seen both this season and Elding is far a better prospect . IMO

I've only read a few but most of them have said anyone could have scored his goal and that he was pretty ineffective.

He could be the worlds worst footballer but scoring goal s is his job.
What is his record 9 goals , a goal every 1.5 games.
What's Eldings 12 aps 3 goals ,one goal per 4 games.
I know who would be on my team sheet even if he played like a donkey every game.

Agreed.

A goalscorer needn't do anything else but score.

We may all have put the goal in the back of the net but would we all have been in the right place at the right time. That was what made the difference according to the radio.

fair comment .. we are all entitled to our opinions .

I suppose when it comes to realitly i could give a flying dingo who scores aslong as the team wins . if the Romanian does then fair enough , if green does then fair enough , even Burch lol .

its the team that counts is it not ?

Agreed Cheshire it's about Lincoln not about individuals.
It's just the whole senario that is winding people up, Pateula's all round play is not great but he scores.
The manager has his favourites but this has done the team no favours.
For 3 months he has either been in the stands or on the bench.
We are not a set of village idiots and can see where it has gone wrong.
Faceless internet critics that's us the mugs who pay their wages.
I do like Elding looks like he has lost his form and started to get it back until his rocky moment lol.

And still they treat us the same.

Vote with your feet. I shall not be attending another game this season, except perhaps Shrewsbury away, because we always win there when me and Joe go (3 out of 3!)

I agree Cheshire. Elding is a good player for this level and gives defenders a tough afternoon. I'd put him way ahead of Patulea.

Patulea is a poacher and that is not too be sniffed at. His goals record is decent but I'm not sure he contributes anything else and can be a liability outside of the box. He is no Simon Yeo who not only got his goals and more but also could play a bit too. I wouldn't bee too disappointed if Patulea stayed for another year but I wouldn't really be bothered if he left - its a close call.

Elding and Patulea could be a good partnership.
Elding is tall enough to win headers and strong enough to hold up the ball and will get a few goals too as his record proves.
Patulea for me is a nuisance as he constantly annoying the defenders and definitely has an eye for goal.
Lineker the best goalscorer I've seen did little other than poach goals so why cant we let the count, surely his game will develop if he plays more.
Doubt they will play together unless Patulea gets a hatful against county.
Ben Wright has completely lost his form for me and looks very low on confidence just now as his recent efforts at goal show, he's missed chances he would of scored last season for me.
As for Horsfield well I'm sorry his legs have gone just retire mate you are doing yourself no favours at all.
