Does anyone know a Trust Member who would be prepared to put their name forward for the Trust Board and Supporter Director?

According to the Notice Convening the AGM the closing date is 30th. March for nomination.

At the moment it appears to be a 'closed shop' with no competition from existing Trust Board members putting their name forward. I've been told a good 'manifesto' would create a lot of interest and give them a good chance of success. (I would love to apply but present circumstances make it impossible)

Shame! Go for it, my friend. You would certainly make people sit up and take notice!

I would be happy to see Rob Bradley back, but I doubt he would have the time to commit...

Failing that, I only wish I lived closer, because I might then re-join the Trust and put myself forward.

I have other ideas, but wouldn't mention names here without first talking to such people.

We've got (another) new manager. Will he be a very good manager? I do hope so.

Rob is a co-opted member of the Trust board.

Good debate on Vitals. Looks as if The Thinker has prompted some new blood to go on the Trust Board.

You are. He also recently suggested a boycott of the club on Vitals after we, er, lost a game.

He can't stand this year anyway - not a member of the Trust on March 10th, it seems.

That's that over then.

How long before someone accuses the Trust of being a 'closed' shop because he's missed the deadline date?

The trust's website carries different information.

Stop shouting!

I have no objection to seeing new blood on Trust/Club Board, but I'd love to see the Vitals Mavericks compose anything like a coherent programme of change.

Are you a member Mick?

Have you put yourself forward for election to the board if you are? If not then why not?

Re: Trust Board

Reading the 'Vitals' board it seems it may be too late to get someone to stand against David Beck. I'm sure he reads this Board, so please David, retire in accordance with Rule 54l, even if there is no other candidate.

I bet there soon would be if the position was vacant. Since posting this thread a few excellent names have been mentioned to me who have the time and total commitment to the Club. This would give anyone the opportunity to join the Trust if they are not already members, then apply or be co-opted to the Board if suitable. This would create a lot of interest and allay the fears of many people that the Trust Board is a 'closed shop'. It would also give David Beck the opportunity to stand again (a bit like John Major did) and see if he could compete with a new Board Member who maybe would not be as complacent.

An exiting 'manifesto' from a new candidate would see what he/she was prepared to do for Trust Members. Let's see if David Beck will rise to the challenge.
