Seems that way, 2 wins on the bounce and suddenly all of the boards are quiet!
Is it time to get a quote for the odds for promotion this season?
Can we make it 3 on the bounce on Saturday?
Could Sutton win the manager of the month for January?
Everyone 100% happy?
Come on boys and girls....let the banter flow.

I'm not usually superstitious, but when it comes to that meaningless accolade I'm prepared to make an exception.
Please, even if we win every game between now and the end of February, don't give Mr Sutton the poisoned cola bottle.
Otherwise, no, things aren't perfect, and there'll be setbacks, but I'm quietly optimistic about the way things are going.

Encouraged by what appears to be a shape to the team and a recogniseable system judging by the Barnet display.

Well, Darlo gained three points on Grimsby last night, with a fine 2-1 away win at Rotherham (home banker before the game?)

What odds on the Cods finishing bottom?

We've got (another) new manager. Will he be a very good manager? I do hope so.

I think there is a long way to go yet. I wouldn't be surprised to see both Grimsby and Darlington make a good fight of it. Macclesfield were supposedly dead and buried a few years back. Grimsby may not be winning but I think they have stopped losing quite as often. If they convert a couple of draws into wins then relegation may not be a foregone conclusion.

We need to keep the momentum of our two wins going and keep picking up points as things are very tight just above us. I can see a number of teams having twitchy bums before May...

Carlisle also sprint to mind - just 11 points at the half-way point int he season, but they survived.

So, just to expand on things not being perfect by a long way, we now have some idea of the type of player Sutton wants in his squad, Football ability (obviously), pace, age (young), and a good attitude seem to be at the top of his list.
Already Brown, Butcher and Clucas have been told they can go, but I can see another dozen or more who will need luck and hard work not to be discarded in favour of more of CS's own signings.
These are my thoughts.
Two that I feel will definitely not be here next season are Kovacs (ticks age and attitude but not the other criteria in my opinion), and Oakes (ticks ability in spades) but attitude only sometimes and the other two not at all.
Connor would have to impress and remain fit to figure. Gordon, Clarke J, and Fagan, are likely to get limited chances unless injuries to others help them and won't all survive. Hone, Adams, Hutchinson, Miller, and Coleman-Carr might have suffered from being associated with PJ and a youth system that CS seems to have reservations about. I'm not sure about LJL, Clarke S or Swaibu either, but they are not a bad fit for what appear to be Sutton's criteria, and are the most likely to get a chance to prove their worth to CS plans.

Seems a reasonable summary to me. I think (hope) Sutton plans to build a young, hungry team that will grow up together over the next 2-3 seasons and bring us success.

Seems he's not been in Sutton's plans for a while. Will do a good job for another L2 team, I imagine, and as you say we shouldn't have too many problems moving him on.

Could be that because noone is likely to come in for the other listed players and the need to shift some bodies out before shifting bodies in, that the end has come earlier for Janos than it otherwise would have done.
