Sutton has set his stall out. Clearly wants skilled ball players rather than just headers in the defence.

A typical League 2 defender, he should be picked up be another team.

Always a bit of a worry with the ball at his feet but a powerful presence in either box..

Can't say I am surprised. I mean, he didn't even make the bench on Saturday.

Will we get a fee? Or a free?

We've got (another) new manager. Will he be a very good manager? I do hope so.

Sad to loose his great attitude, but CS is obviously looking for a bit more skill on the deck.
Wish him the very best(not against us though).

It's all up hill from here !

I loved Janos' effort and attitude, but...and this is perhaps unfair, after the episode against Barnsley when he failed to even try and do what a defender should, I think his confidence took a knock and for me he hasn't been a dominant force.
Since he's obviously not a Sutton type player, it's probably best for both parties for him to move on .

There will no doubt be times this season when we are facing an aerial bombardment in the last ten minutes or so of a game where we are hanging on to a result! Thats when you need a man like Janos in the heart of the defence. Will be really disappointed to see him go.

I think it is a shame that his face doesn't fit because he is a decent stopper at this level and his heart and commitment were beyond question. At the end of the day, though, his contract is up at the end of the season and he may have indicated he wants to move elsewhere.

I remember an article in the Echo from him about how he wanted to keep on the move to get new experiences.

Sutton did not place him on the list and they both found out from SSN about the listing not a good way to go about things.

I assume that's in today's Echo or was said on Radio Lincs?

If Sutton didn't put him on the transfer list then who did? I think we should be told....

I was told yesterday but it was confirmed in todays echo stating Sutton was very criptic in his reply that the placing of Janod on the list was not his and they would have to ask someone else that question.
Sutton stated tha the will need him soon.
Interestingly the OS states the complete opposite it was the managers decision?

They need to get their stories right as it all adds as fuel to the fire.

I personally think that it's all down to money Fagan,J clarke,Butcher,A Brown and Janos who are not even in the team must be setting the club back 3 to 4 k a week in wasted wages.
Jacko should have gone in the summer and none of this would be happening.

In fairness the Board has to balance the books and we have far too many players on the books at the moment. If Kovacs isn't even getting on the bench these days and he is on decent wages then it makes sense to sell now rather than let him go for nothing in the summer and pay him the best part of £25K to watch from the stands.

If Sutton doesn't like it, tough - welcome to the real world of football finance in div 4.

Janos is a solid defender, but prone to mistakes. He was like a bull in a China shop so many times last season, striving to clear every ball that came within 10 yards of him. Clearly if Sutton wanted Baker for the end of the season, the board told him he'd have to makes some allowances and get rid of one of his CBs. Personally I think Swaibu is better than Kovacs and hopefully Watts will be a bit more decisive.

That it's not a good way to operate ,it's poor communications and it would not have taken too much to inform the manager that the club is struggling with wages and needs to off load some players asap.
Not for the manager to face the press unable to answer questions the yneed to be on the same hymm sheet.

Do we really think that the Board put him on the transfer list without telling Sutton? I don't think for one minute that that is the case. Clearly Sutton would have liked to have kept him (there isn't a manager alive that would have 22 players on the books if he could have 26) but the Board have to balance the books.

Sutton's disappointment is in finding out the harsh realities of budgets at this level not, I suggest, in finding out from the press that one of his players is up for sale.

I do not believe for one second that Sutton was not consulted. We are not a big club. We have a playing budget. We have far to many players on the books and Kovacs at the moment is at best 4th choice CB. Thanks for your efforts Janos and good luck.

I'm not sure that we can infer that they found out on SSN from the Echo reporting. "Cryptic" could relate to a range of situations, of course including their lack of knowledge of the listing, but also that other listed players have not had any interest, the potential buying out of contracts, or strenghtening weaker areas while taking a calculated risk on injuries and recalls. Mind you, it would be typical LCFC that just as things are looking better some fool upsets the apple cart in a power struggle, or through just plain idiocy.

My take: CS brought in players early and expected to be able to shift some deadwood easier than it turned out. The board had the balls to back him, but now need free some cash and so have pushed this on CS. Janos is the best prospect for a sale and comes from the strongest part of the team. If suddenly other players were moved on, I could imagine Janos being taken off the list.
