Can't stand ready salted! I would rather go without. Remember the little packet of salt in the original packets back in the sixties?

Smiths were still still doing a 'Salt N Shake' into the 70's. That I can remember because I sure as heck wouldn't remember it from the 60's...

Err no, we're not that old!

Dean is.

We've got (another) new manager. Will he be a very good manager? I do hope so.

Salt 'n Shake came many years after they removed the little blue bag. Mid eighties, if I am not mistaken.

Pretty sure I remember other kids having 'Salt N Shake" at primary school on the '90s. I'm surprised in our current health-conscious society that they haven't had a resurgance.

I'm sure they still had the blue bag in them in the 90s as it was the same time that Walkers introduced their own blue bags containing various prizes and many of the other kids would hold their Smiths bag aloft claiming to have won a prize!

We've got (another) new manager. Will he be a very good manager? I do hope so.

Did I really hear this on BBC| LIncs today ? By adjusting the amount of time 23 street lamps were switched on in Mablethorpe they saved £300 in a year. I make this about 3p per lamp per day. The sting is that the spokesman said it will take 20 years to recover the cost of the project.
I'm all for saving the planet but there is a limit.

You can still get Salt 'n' Shake in most good supermarkets.

Anyway, on the the way to band rehearsal last night in Notty, I passed a camper-van driving the wrong way down the A46 dual carriage-way. Couldn't believe it and just managed to swerve into the inside lane in time!

Just to join your bourgeois luncheon I'll have a glass of Krug '96 and some seared scallpos ;)

I hope you're scallops were served on black-pudding with a pea puree.

Sorry, that's a joke between me and the Mrs.
