... The Other Place that Steff may step down and Bob Dorrian step forward. I'm awaiting with keen anticipation the front-page article on that one!

At least half true, then.

Good luck to Steff in the future - he's been a steady hand at the tiller over the last few years.

He has made mistakes - who hasn't?

Overall I think his stewardship of the club has been excellent and I would like to thank him and wish him the best for the future.

Neil (codbater) has been keeping this off the front page since he told me 4 months ago that Steff was stepping down.

I have mixed feelings about this, but would like to wish him well in whatever he does in the future...

We've got (another) new manager. Will he be a very good manager? I do hope so.

Like most peopl in any job hes had his ups and downs. Overall hes done ok but for me the 'gardening leave' business blooted his copybook the most. I heard an alternative version of this incidentally and it made some sense. Still thats the past now and we must all kick on so good luck and thanks for your time Steff.

So far as I am concerned he has been a steady hand on the tiller at a time when this club needed one. Certainly not perfect, but who is? I hope whoever succeeds him does as well to keep us on an even keel. Unless money is to come in, which is probably unlikely (unless I win the Euro millions one Friday) we certainly don't need anyone playing fast and loose with what few finances we have.

Have to say I feel he's done a good job. Commercially we've grown massively and I think he's to be applauded on that. We've all made mistakes but I think his conservative approach has been what's been required when so many other clubs are chasing dodgy money. Many thanks Steff, and good luck for the future!

I don't think we've grown 'massively' by any stretch of the imagination, he's kept things going in tough times though.

I'm pretty sure revenue from sponsorship and exec boxes has increased significantly during his tenure.

He has been a good figurehead and has had to be strong at times. I am sure it hasn't been easy. He has worked hard for the club and I thank him for that.

In all honesty, him leaving won't change too much at the club. I am not saying that as a criticism.

He likes you...
