After that dismal showing the wake-up call is well and truly in. Can anyobe see us getting anything in the next two games? We could go into the last four with the Cods just 3-5 points behind us.

Looking at our next 5 the last game at home to Macclesfield is now starting to look as if it could be massive. We can not afford to go down as the BSP is a graveyard of former football league sides who have adjusted to playing at that level, and can still not get back.

funny how things change though isn't it? When the cods lost on Friday they looked doomed, results went as bad for us today and now we look dodgy, Torquay are playing just as poor and have to go to Grimsby in a couple of games.

I can't help it,

Odds on Torquay sneaking a win at the cods then and us securing a massive home win..

Why on earth did Sutton play Keltie (no match fitness) and Clarke (no match ability) in central midfield today? He got it all wrong.

I really try not to moan too much but Clarke he can't head a ball it either goes off the back of his head or off his shoulder,he can't do a forward pass, does not score his main contribution is he can stick his foot in.
keltie at least did produce 3 quality passes but has not had enough match minutes to compete.
He got it so wrong today even i am moaning and how many left before the final whistle never seen that before and i was one of them.
It was like enough is enough very fickle but it's how i felt.

It was a terrible game today. Clarke and Keltie in the middle was a huge mistake. We lacked any width and I was again struck by how poor Anderson is. His touch was terrible today and none of his crosses were threatening.

Saying that I think we played the better football and after we'd equalised it looked like only one team would win; us! I left a little early and was walking out as they got their third. I don't like to criticise Sutton as he's done well but he got it all wrong today. I can't see myself going to any more games this season, even if I can get the time off work. It was just a terrible, lazy performance.

Thought we would go on and win despite everything once we pulled level, but looking a bit grim.

Back to playing 5 in midfield and trying to shut up shop for next week?

Not sure where the next point is coming from

Chris Sutton knows we have limitations in certain areas on the pitch so has to do the best with those players at his disposal.
He hasn't got any naturally wide players or a left sided midfielder so has no choice but to play a system and players to suit even if it means playing those players out of their usual positions.
We have got to scramble to safety this year and then hopefully progress and get the players in he wants, and others out, before the start of next season.
I just want this season over as soon as possible with us safely booked for a reappearance in League 2 next year...............

Joe and I had intended to go to the remaining home games. After today's dismal and, as someone else mentioned, 'lazy' performance, we won't.

Assuredly we will be at Aldershot and the last home game Vs Macclesfield, but I am not wasting another £85+ on the Bournemouth and Bury games. Sorry LCFC, but your players have made us make that decision, purely on today's totally inept showing.

Sort out the deadwood, Sutton, please!

We've got (another) new manager. Will he be a very good manager? I do hope so.

I know you're speaking in general terms but only 5 of the starting 11 were here before Sutton arrived at the club.

Burch, Green, Swaibu, Clarke and Hughton.

Only once in the last 11 games have we had more than 6 players who started the season here in the first 11.

That once match was Torquay away.

If I'm a child that means you're a pedophile, and I'll be damned if I'm going stand here and take this from a pervert.

I know what you are saying but it really confirms my point....CS obviously has no confidence in any other of the squad members and so in his mind has no other choice.
Play a defensive line up, keep a clean sheet and try and pinch a goal.
I would be very surprised if either the two players you mention are in the mix up next year.

I think Clark may be around as a squad player.

It was my first look at Keltie and he took anonimity to new heights.

Very lack lustre display all round.

The game was lost in the middle in my opinion. The players who were nominally the wide players I don't think suited the roles. Hughton is more of a forward running wide man (if used there) and Saunders is a central player. Those two on the outside of Clarke and Keltie were always going to struggle.

I think some credit should go to Morecambe. They have limitations but they are a very savvy team. In Mullin I think they have an excellent League Two target man and though he was well marshalled yesterday there was no respite for Baker or Swaibu. Disciplined and organised. They looked like a slightly inferior version of some of Keith's teams.

Herd and Somma were never allowed a moment's space but occasionally if Saunders got involved something got created. Herd tried but he's not a striker and I am curious to know the train of thought that led to him starting as a striker with other options and playing Keltie where either Saunders or Herd would have been better used.

A bad day at the office. Lack lustre but I don't buy the "not trying" thing and I will be back again on Saturday...

...EDIT: if I don't have to go to Lingfield, which I've just found out I might have to...

Felt sorry for Keltie been here since xmas? the amount of match minutes has been very limited he did play 3 quality balls on the left hand side to set our players free.
Not a hoof but a quality clipped ball over the top to be fair he looked very rusty and hopefully he will be given more of a chance.

It was an opportunity to play Herd and Saunders in the middle where they want to be. He coould have played Gilmour out wide and LJL or Hutchinson up front. Perhaps he wanted to give Keltie a chance to play for a contract but that is at odds with his stated desire to get mathmatically clear of relegation.

Let's be honest, yesterday was beyond dire. On a day celebrating Heroes, there was only Burch. Boys v men, how we missed Kerr.
Have we really made progress under Sutton? In his post match interview he thought we should have won...suggest he comes into the Coop stand, obviously the sun must be in his eyes in the dug-out. No idea, no game plan and no motivation seems to sum up Sutton's approach.
Pleased to see Colin Murphy there, must have thought his deranged ferrets were back in fashion.
New Chairman, New Manager and definately New players, that is IF we retain our league status for 2010/2011, please
